The Coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak means us having to stay at home, observe social distancing and do everything we can together, to reduce infection, save lives and help our NHS cope better. How does this affect your 2020 plans for home improvements?
You can still plan home your improvements online.
While you’ll find all home improvement showrooms closed right now, there’s no reason to delay planning your home improvement project. Here is how we can help you keep your project on track, even in these challenging times.
1. Talk to us
We are available on the phone, our contact form and a live-chat facility on our website. You can also get in touch with us on our Facebook page.
While most of our suppliers are closed presently, we have the tools in-house to prepare a quotation. If you have sizes, plans, builder drawings or any other information relating to your forthcoming home improvement, we can still talk to you about it and prepare a quotation.
So while we are all at home, arguably frustrated at not carrying on as normal, there’s no reason to wait until it’s safe to leave our homes. You can still plan your project by talking to us.
We can even carry out facetime or video calls with you if you’d like to take a look at the products in our showroom while you are at home.
2. Beat the queue
The reality is, most of the home improvement sector has put back their installations, responsibly responding to the current situation and respecting we all need to play our part. We also re-scheduled our April installation for about three weeks time, in anticipation of a return to work.
When we return to normal our suppliers are likely to be under pressure to fulfil delayed orders. As a result, lead times will invariably get longer.
If you’re in a position to proceed, there is no reason you can’t beat the queue and reserve your slot now. We can’t guarantee an installation date, but we can put you in priority order during this time.
3. We can still survey and process your order.
Surveying your prepared builders opening or existing window and door apertures only relies on one member of staff. Therefore, we observe Government guidelines on social distancing and preventing transmission of the virus and are able to survey your property.
We can then place your order with our suppliers, putting you in a priority position for your order to be manufactured when our industry returns to work.
For your peace of mind, there is more information about what work can be carried out at home.
4. Save money
Our typical deposit is 60% of the contract value when you place your order with Open Living. We then ask for a further stage payment before installation and a final payment upon completion.
Save money now. We are accepting reduced deposits where our customers are ready to schedule their home improvement project with us now.
