A recently constructed property fitted with early generation PVCu windows. The windows have the large fixed pane with smaller side opening windows, typical of many casement windows in similar properties built after the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Work Carried Out
Open Living removed the original timber windows, taking away and safely disposing of the old frames and glass. The windows were replaced with the latest Origin aluminium windows with their dual flush casement design – not available on any other aluminium casement window on the market.
The windows feature thermally insulated powder coated aluminium frames in classic gloss white, RAL 9910. The heads of the windows are fitted with white aluminium trickle ventilators to provide permanent as well as controllable background ventilation.
The flush casement design of the windows provides equal sight lines to the opening casements as well as a slimline frame around the large central pane of glass.
Opening casements have the high security Yale Encloser lock, featuring bi-directional locking bolts, engaging securely into their keeps. White matching window handles complete the window.
The windows are also glazed with laminated glass giving enhanced security. Laminated glass provides a great barrier for would-be intruders. Should the glass get broken it holds together and will not give way, thanks to the intermediate layer between the panes of glass.
