A Hertfordshire home with a built extension to the rear, original fitted with hardwood subframes, French doors and casement windows, with a solid tiled roof. The original windows were old odd leg non-thermal, early generation aluminium with Georgian effect inserts in the double glazed units.
Work Carried Out
Open Living removed the existing aluminium windows and doors and leaving the hardwood subframes in place which were in a great condition to retain the original appearance of the conservatory extension. New Origin bifolding doors are installed to the front of the conservatory in a three panel design with a traffic door. The bifolds also feature our upgrade to stainless steel door furniture that includes the premium Hafi handle with separate cylinder escutcheon.
The sides of the structure are fitted with new white Origin aluminium windows having sloping beads and a slimline aesthetic, fitted to the existing hardwood surrounds and cill. The windows have slim, thermally insulated powder coated aluminium frames in classic gloss white, RAL 9910. The sides of the conservatory now have equal sightlines and a more modern appearance with a full glass pane in the windows without the Georgian effect inserts.
